
Royals Loan Forward Kirk MacDonald to Houston

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has loaned forward Kirk MacDonald to the Houston Aeros of the AHL. In separate transactions also announced today, the Royals activated goaltender Sergey Kostenko from the team's Reserve List and placed goaltender Drew MacIntyre on Reserve.
MacDonald, a sixth year pro from Victoria, British Columbia, has recorded thirty-two points (13g-19a) and fifty-two penalty minutes in forty-three games with the Royals this season. This is the first trip of the season to the AHL for MacDonald, who has 105 points (45g-60a) and 206 penalty minutes in 266 career AHL games.
The Royals continue a season long five-game road trip tomorrow (Wednesday, February 6 @ 7:05pm) when the team travels to First Arena in Elmira, New York, to take on the Elmira Jackals. The game day broadcast will kick off on CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm at 6:35 pm with the Pre-Game Warm-Up Show presented by Steve Moyer Subaru. As with all Royals road games this season, Friday's game will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and Apple Vacations.
