AUSTIN, TexasâFebruary 2, 2004âThe Austin Wranglers have finalized their inaugural-season roster today by waiving four players and placing two on Injured Reserve. The team is currently assembling a four-man practice squad to carry into their first game, February 13, when they travel to Orlando to face the Orlando Predators.
The Wranglers will host ArenaBowl-champion Tampa Bay Storm at the Frank Erwin Center in their home-opener February 22, at 2 p.m. in an NBC regionally-televised match-up.
Among the four players waived, WR/DB Al Hunt, OL/DL Josh McMillan, rookie QB Josh Blankenship and rookie WR/DB Jerry McCloud. DS Brent Browner and OL/DL Gladston Taylor were both placed on Injured Reserve for the next two weeks.
