Wranglers Fall 3-2 to Idaho in Overtime

Las Vegas - Forcing the Idaho Steelheads into their first overtime game of the season, the Las Vegas Wranglers fell 3-2 on the road in Boise tonight.

ECHL Player of the Month forward Eric Lampe opened up scoring for the Wranglers, notching his 12th goal of the season with assists from forward Judd Blackwater and defenseman Jamie Fritsch at 4:21 in the first. Wranglers goalie Joe Fallon held off 12 shots from Idaho to keep the score 1-0 through the end of the period.

Midway through the second, forward Adam Miller collected his fifth goal of the season to put Las Vegas up 2-0 over the Steelheads with help from defenseman Channing Boe and left wing Ned Lukacevic. Idaho responded shortly thereafter with their first goal of the night coming from forward Ian Lowe, who scored on a power play with forward Ondrej Roman on the assist at the 12:27 mark. At the end of the second, the Wranglers still lead 2-1.

With a game-tying goal from Idaho defenseman Hubert Labrie, and forwards David Fredriksson and Lowe on the assists, the score knotted 2-2 at 7:20 in the third. Both Fallon and Steelheads goaltender Jimmy Spratt, each wearing #30, kept the two teams from scoring for the remainder of the period, putting Idaho in their first overtime game of the season. At 2:39 in overtime, Idaho forward Kael Mouillierat tallied the game-winning goal with assists from forward Chad Klassen and Labrie, giving the Steelheads a 3-2 win. Fallon faced 44 shots tonight, a season high for him, and saved 41 shots.

The two teams face off tomorrow night in Boise, and then again on Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Las Vegas. Tonight's full box score can be found here .
