
Wranglers Clipped By Falcons 4-2

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Fresno Falcons 4-2 on Tuesday night in front of 3,618 fans at the Orleans Arena. Defenseman Deryk Engelland and right wing Nick Anderson each scored for the Wranglers in the loss. Falcons' goaltender Jamie Hodson made 28 saves to pick up his 17th win of the season. Forward Terry Marchant and defenseman Charles Simard each had two points in the Falcons victory. The Wranglers will host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Friday at the Orleans Arena at 7:05 pm.
In the second period, the Wranglers got the scoring started at 7:32 of the period as Deryk Engelland tallied his fifth goal of the season. Fresno countered back to tie the game at one with 9:45 past in the period, as David Brisson scored for the Falcons. Five minutes later Fresno took a 2-1 lead as Charles Simard scored his seventh goal this season.
In the third period, Dan Tessier scored for Fresno giving the Falcons a 3-1 lead. Las Vegas countered back as Nick Anderson tallied his first professional goal at 13:10 of the period cutting the Fresno lead to 3-2. Fresno shut the door on the Las Vegas comeback as Brett Hammond scored his first professional goal on an empty net goal.
Victoria will play at the Orleans Arena on Friday, April 1st and Bakersfield stops in on Saturday, April 2nd. Friday night, the first 1,500 fans get a Wranglers Travel Mug sponsored by Trendwest and the Wranglers will reveal their new jerseys for next season, which will be auctioned off during the game in a silent auction. Saturday April 2nd, fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game party in the parking lot of the Orleans Arena from 4:00â6:00 pm. The first 2,500 fans of the day (over the age of 3) to attend Saturday's game on April 2nd, will receive the collectible and playable Wranglers MR. POTATO HEAD SPORTS SPUD, this includes the first 200 fans to Saturday's Port-of Subs pre-game party. The Wranglers conclude their season with three home games against Alaska on April 5th, 8th, and 9th.
April 2nd is the final date for season seat holders to renew their seats for the upcoming 2005-06 season, before they are released to the general public. Fans will need to contact the Wranglers front office (702-471-7825) to renew their full season seat packages, as well as their mini-plans.
Tickets for all games are on sale now. Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations; The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast and Suncoast, or at the Boulevard, Galleria or Meadows Malls guest relations/ticket centers.
