Wranglers Add Rookies Hambly and Peluso

Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the signing of defenseman Tim Hambly and left wing Marco Peluso. Both players are from the University of Minnesota Duluth and will make their pro debuts tonight at the Orleans Arena.

Hambly, 21, led all UMD defensemen in scoring this season with five goals and 15 assists for 20 points in 34 games played. The White Bear Lake, MN native, played four seasons at UMD for a total of 13 goals and 47 assists for 60 points in 141 games played. He posted a career-high +33 rating during the 03-04 season.

Peluso comes to the Wranglers after a standout season at UMD in which he ranked third on the team in scoring with 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points in 35 games played. Peluso's 19 goals tied for the team lead. The 24-year old winger also racked up 54 penalty minutes during his senior season as a Bulldog. Peluso played three seasons at UMD posting 37 goals and 51 assists for 88 points in 114 games played.

On Friday, March 18th, the Wranglers will host the Fresno Falcons. The Las Vegas Wranglers announced last Friday, BLUE MAN GROUP Live at Luxor will present the National Anthem and perform during the first period intermission. The Wranglers will wear specially-designed BLUE MAN GROUP jerseys, which will be auctioned off in a silent auction on the concourse during the game. All of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to Opportunity Village.

Tickets for all games are on sale now. Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations; The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast and Suncoast, or at the Boulevard, Galleria or Meadows Malls guest relations/ticket centers.
