Worcester Sharks News Release
WORCESTER - The Worcester Sharks Vacation Hockey School in conjunction with Ice Works "Elite Hockey Training" begins this week at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro on Donald Lynch Blvd. The hockey clinic will run from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Young players of all abilities, ages 9-14, will receive a once-in-a-lifetime experience as they will be exposed to a pro-level environment which will include on ice instruction, lecture, and off ice training under the direction of Brian Payne, owner of Ice Works "Elite Hockey Training."
"Brian and his coaching staff at Ice Works 'Elite Hockey Training' have set the bar for all hockey schools," said Worcester Sharks Assistant General Manager Michael A. Mudd. "His on-ice curriculum is unlike any others, and there is no comparable dryland training program like Ice Works. His passion, enthusiasm and commitment to every player guarantee individual results. The Worcester Sharks (AHL) are proud to have hired Ice Works 'Elite Hockey Training' as their preferred hockey camp."
Sharks Head Coach Roy Sommer, Assistant Coach David Cunniff, and Pro Scout Cap Raeder will appear at the camp to lend their expertise instruction on the skills of ice hockey, teamwork, and values. Several Sharks players will appear at the camp to provide instruction and interact with the students. A highlight of the week will be a catered luncheon on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. where campers will have the opportunity to eat lunch with their favorite Sharks players, take photographs together, and seek autographs.
At the conclusion of the camp, all camp participants will receive two tickets to a Worcester Sharks home game at the DCU Center to cheer on their new "buddies" from camp. The campers will also receive a camp jersey, a t-shirt, and a commemorative Sharks backpack.
