Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren announced today a pair of transactions involving Phantoms players. Left wing Tony Voce has been loaned to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins, while goaltender Rejean Beauchemin has been reassigned to the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

Voce, 26, posted eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points in 41 games for the Phantoms this season. A Philadelphia native, Voce joined the Phantoms in 2004 after completing a four-year career at Boston College, where he was a Hobey Baker finalist.

Beauchemin, 21, has posted a 2-5-0 record with a 4.68 goals against average, a .850 save percentage and one shutout with the Phantoms this season. Beauchemin has been sidelined with a hand injury since December 13. In his rookie campaign for the Phantoms last season, Beauchemin was 3-8-1 with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage in 15 appearances.

The Phantoms return to action on Wednesday with a visit to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:30 PM. Philadelphia's next home game is Friday, Feb. 23 against the Hershey Bears. It's the annual Teddy Bear Toss with the Phantoms - bring a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal to toss on the ice when the Phantoms score their first goal. Individual tickets for all Phantoms games, including $8 tickets for children 14 and under anywhere in the building, are on sale now at phantomshockey.com or by calling 800-298-4200.
