
Anderson recalled by Florida; Kreps reassigned to Amerks

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that goalie Craig Anderson has been recalled by the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League. The Panthers have also reassigned center Kamil Kreps to the Amerks.
Anderson has played in 31 games with Rochester and has notched a 21-10-0 record and a 2.63 goals-against average. He is also tied for third in the American Hockey League in wins and is ninth in save percentage (.916).
In his NHL career, he has a 12-29-6 record and a 3.19 goals-against average. Last season, the Park Ridge, Illinois, native played in 29 games with the Chicago Blackhawks and recorded a 6-12-4 mark, 3.32 goals-against average and an .886 save percentage.
The 25 year old was traded from the Chicago Blackhawks to the Florida Panthers on June 24, 2006 for a sixth-round draft pick in 2008. He was originally Chicago's third-round selection (73rd overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
Kreps returns to Rochester after playing five games with Florida during his latest recall. He was recalled by Florida on February 8th. Kreps, who received his first recall on January 6th, has one assist in 11 games with the Panthers. He has seven goals and 13 assists in 33 games for the Amerks.
The Amerks will be back in action on Wednesday, February 21st, as they play a midweek game against the San Antonio Rampage at The Blue Cross Arena. At the game, the Amerks will be celebrating The Moose's Birthday. The first 3,000 fans will receive a free creamsicle courtesy Perry's Ice Cream. There will also be a mascot broomball game during the first intermission. The 7:05 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 Networks.
