Wood Ducks Announce "Beer, Bites, and Baseball" Event

Kinston, N.C. - The Down East Wood Ducks and Mother Earth Brewing will host the inaugural "Beer, Bites and Baseball" event next Saturday before the Woodies game versus the Frederick Keys. The event will pair six Mother Earth products with six traditional concession stand items in a take on the traditional beer pairing event. The event will take place from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the lower bar area of the Mother Earth Pavilion. Gates for the game open at 4 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

"We're really excited to be partnered with the Wood Ducks again this season to bring Mother Earth beers to the ballpark, and this event is a great way for us to showcase many different beer styles and how they pair and interact with some of the best traditional ballpark fare around," said Travis Quinn, Sales Ninja for Mother Earth Brewing and the host of Beer Pairings event.

An all-inclusive ticket for the event is $20, and includes a ticket to the Wood Ducks/Keys game, access to the beer pairings event that will includes 1-2 bites of 6 traditional concession stand items and a 2oz pour of 6 Mother Earth beers, and a voucher good for one 16oz Mother Earth draft beer. If you already have a ticket to the game but would like to attend the beer pairings event, you can do so for $15. Space for the event is limited to the first 50 individuals who purchase.

Mozzarella Cheese Pizza paired with a Long Weekend IPA

Sharp Cheddar and Jalapeno Nachos paired with a Mojito Berlinerweisse

Deep Fried Twinkie paired with Sercy Spiked and Sparkling Water (flavor TBD)

Tickets for "Beer, Bites and Baseball" can be purchased online at www.woodducksbaseball.com, by calling the Wood Ducks Team Offices at 252-686-5172 or in the Wood Ducks Team Offices located at Grainger Stadium (Mon-Fri - 9am-5pm). You can also purchase at the box office on Saturday, August 3rd (subject to availability) or the $15 beer pairing event ticket at the lower bar of the Mother Earth Pavilion on Saturday.
