August 19, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - CF Montréal, in collaboration with Soccer Québec, announced Friday that Stade Saputo will host its first ever Women's All-Star Game, presented by BMO, on Sunday, September 4 at 3:30pm.
The game will feature a selection of U13 and U14 girls (born in 2008-2009) who excelled at the 55th Jeux du Québec finals, which were held last month in Laval from July 26 to 30.
"Part of CF Montréal's mission is also to make young Quebec soccer players, including girls, aspire to something greater. This event will be a great opportunity to celebrate and showcase local female talent. We want to be more involved in the growth of women's soccer in the province and this is a step in that direction," said CF Montréal Academy Director Patrick Leduc. "I am extremely excited to see young local female talent wearing the CF Montréal jersey at Stade Saputo for the first time in the Club's history."
