SEATTLE, WASH. - After a 2-1 defeat against Real Salt Lake at Lumen Field on Sunday, Seattle Sounders FC (10-13-2, 32 points) travels to take on the LA Galaxy (10-11-3, 33 points) in a nationally-televised matchup on Friday, August 19 (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, ESPN Deportes, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM). The fixture marks the 42nd MLS meeting between the two sides (including postseason), making the Galaxy Seattle's most frequent opponent since joining the league in 2009.
Sounders FC currently sits in 10th place in the Western Conference with 32 points, one point below the playoff line. The Galaxy sits in sixth place in the Western Conference with 33 points.
Following Friday's matchup, Sounders FC faces archrival Portland, also in a nationally-televised fixture on Friday, August 26 (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, ESPN Deportes, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
