Wolves Shut Out
February 28, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves dropped a 3-0 decision to the rising Kingston Frontenacs on Saturday night in Kingston. To their credit, the Wolves held Calgary Flames 1st rounder Sam Bennett to just one assist despite the Frontenacs having three power play opportunities. Sam Tanguay marked his return to the Kingston area with an outstanding performance in goal with 38 saves.
The Wolves only were able to manage 16 shots on goal despite having four power play opportunities in the game. The Wolves really didn't have much in the way of good scoring chances throughout the contest as the Fronts played a very stingy defensive style. The Wolves looked tired and struggled defensively at times against the high-flying Kingston forwards.
The Wolves lost defenceman Jeff Corbett in the first period to an injury and they were also without the services of Cole Mayo (suspension), Jacob Harris (concussion) and Troy Timpano (concussion). The Wolves will travel to Mississauga on Sunday to play the Steelheads before returning home on Tuesday to play the Niagara IceDogs at 7:00 p.m.
