March 6, 2016 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sudbury Wolves News Release

The Sudbury Wolves wrapped up their 3-in-3 weekend Sunday afternoon in Mississauga as they faced the Steelheads. ZACK BOWMAN made 30 of 32 saves on the night, but it wasn't enough as the Wolves dropped a 2-1 decision to the Mississauga Steelheads.

The Steelheads struck first in the opening frame as Mason Marchment put the puck past Bowman on the powerplay to take the 1-0 lead. Their lead wouldn't last long as defenceman CONOR CUMMINS tied things up for the Wolves before the first period came to a close. This goal marked Conor's 4th of the season. MICHAEL PEZZETTA and MATT SCHMALZ picked up the assists on the play.

In the second, the Steelheads took back their one goal lead at the 6:15 mark of the period. Marcus Dickerson scored the go-ahead goal. Dickerson's goal was the only goal of the period. Shots on goal after two periods of play were 26-16 in favour of the Steelheads.

The third period saw plenty of back and forth action for both teams, however BOWMAN and Steelheads goaltender Jack Flinn shut their doors. The Steelheads took this match by a final score of 2-1 and final shots on goal were 32-23 in favour of the Steelheads.

The Wolves will return to action next Friday March 11th as they host the Barrie Colts at 7:00pm. Don't miss the Wolves second last home game of the season. Tickets are on sale now at the Sudbury Arena Box Office, by calling 705-671-3000 or online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets.
