
Wolves Draft Skill and Speed

Skill and speed were a priority in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection for the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday as they added 16 new players to the Wolves Organization. The Sudbury Wolves scouting staff added 2 goaltenders, 4 defenceman and 10 forwards. With the first overall selection in the draft, the Wolves made the announcement on Friday that they would be selecting forward DAVID LEVIN of the Don Mills Flyers. The Wolves had four more picks in the first 50 players selected and 16 picks in total. The Wolves selected SHANE BULITKA 28th overall from the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs. BULITKA is a very smart player with excellent vision and passing skills. He is strong both on and off the puck. In 32 games with the Chiefs last season, Bulitka scored 20 goals and added 39 assists for 59 points.
The Wolves then picked back to back at number 41 and 42 overall. With the 41st pick, the Wolves selected centre MacAuley Carson from the Barrie Jr. Colts where he scored 19 goals and added 25 assists in 31 games. The Wolves then selected left-winger Owen Lane of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers who added 25 goals and 21 assists over the course of 32 games last season.
To round out the third round, the Wolves selection defenceman Conor Ali of the Brampton 45's. Ali played 34 games with the 45's where he score 3 goals and added 12 assists.
In the 5th round, the Wolves selected centre Ben Garagan of the North York Rangers. Garagan is a North Bay native who scored 26 goals and added 18 assists in 45 games with the Rangers last season.
In the 6th round, the Wolves went back to the blueline and selected two-way defenceman Donovan Cowan of the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs.
With their 7th round selection, the Wolves selected left-winger Adam Panacci from the Don Mills Flyers. Panacci is a teammate of Wolves' first round selection David Levin.
With two selections in the 8th round, the Wolves selected goaltender Jake McGrath of the Toronto Marlboros 142nd overall and forward Tyler Madden of the Avon Jr. Varsity from Parkland, Florida 154th overall.
In the 9th round, the Wolves selected two-way forward Declan Hilton of the Ottawa Jr. 67's. The 5'11, 168lb left-winger tallied 25 goals and added 14 assists in 29 games this past season.
With their 10th round selection, the Wolves selected defenceman Kyle Kozielski of the Niagara North Stars. The 6'01, 197lb defenceman added 7 assists from the blueline and had 41 penalty minutes over 29 games.
The Wolves then selected their second and final goaltender of the draft in the 11th round by selecting Evan Fear of the Chicago Mission U16 team.
In the 13th round, the Wolves selected Drake Lafontaine, also of the Don Mills Flyers. The 6', 159lb right-winger played 50 games with the Flyers where he scored 12 goals and added 17 assists over 50 games.
With their 14th round selection, the Wolves selected defenceman Adrian Billic of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens.
With their final pick of the draft, the Wolves selected two-way forward Kier Cumming of Chatham-Kent Cyclones.
