OTTAWA -- The Ottawa 67's have picked 16-year-old forward Austen Keating from the Guelph Gryphons Minor Midget AAA with the team's first-round selection of the 2015 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

Notes: Captained the Guelph Gryphons Minor Midget AAA squad during the 2014-15 season ... Scored 30 goals and 30 assists in 36 regular-season games ... Had six points in five games at the 2014 OHL Cup for the Gryphons ... "He sees the ice really well and has a great shot, He's definitely ready for the next level and has what it takes," Gryphons coach Ryan Black told the Guelph Mercury ... Youngest of four children ... Parents are Bill and Melanie Keating ... Also played lacrosse ... Attends Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School in Guelph ... Played two games this season for the Guelph Hurricanes of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL).
