
Wolves Announce November Award Winners

The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce their players of the month award winners for the month of November.
TRAVELODGE SUDBURY COMMUNITY PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Sudbury Wolves defenceman CONOR CUMMINS has been named the TRAVELODGE SUDBURY COMMUNITY PLAYER OF THE MONTH for his outstanding contribution to the City of Greater Sudbury for the month of November. CUMMINS participated in numerous community events over the month, including five schools visits to R.L. Beattie, Holy Cross, Churchill, St. Denis and Jean Sauvé. He also stopped by Health Sciences North/Horizon Santé-Nord as part of the PaWES program, where he visited children in the pediatrics unit. The Whitby, Ontario native has been able to provide strong leadership to the young Wolves' blue-line. Conor is always one of the most willing participants to attend community events and the Sudbury Wolves are proud to have him representing the organization on and off the ice!
MOLSON CANADIAN 3-STAR AWARD
Through his standout play for the month of November, import forward DMITRY SOKOLOV has been awarded the MOLSON CANADIAN 3-STAR AWARD. The Wolves' 3rd overall pick in the 2015 CHL Import Draft had a first and second star performance during the month. His best game came at home against Peterborough on November 20th, when he recorded 4 points, including his first OHL hat trick. To date this season, the Omsk, Russia native leads the Wolves' in scoring with 18 points, and is 4th in league scoring among rookies. Dmitry is consistently counted on to produce offensively for the Wolves and was named on the NHL Central Scouting's 'Player's To Watch' list which was released a few weeks ago. The Sudbury Wolves wish to congratulate Dmitry on his strong play so far this season.
REG WILKINSON MEN'S WEAR SCHOLASTIC PLAYER OF THE MONTH
The REG WILKINSON MEN'S WEAR SCHOLASTIC PLAYER OF THE MONTH for November is defenceman COLE MAYO. Cole is currently attending LaSalle Secondary School where he is enrolled in three university level courses, including human development, math and science. The London, ON native has maintained a 90% average. Mayo was acquired from the Erie Otters last season and is developing into a reliable defender and one of the Wolves' top shot blockers. The Wolves wish to congratulate Cole on his hard work in the classroom and on the ice!
QUIZNOS HARDEST WORKING FORWARD
The QUIZNOS HARDEST WORKING FORWARD OF THE MONTH is sophomore forward MICHAEL PEZZETTA. PEZZETTA was selected in the 1st round by the Wolves in 2014 OHL Priority Selection. Through 26 games this season, Pezzetta sits 7th on the team in scoring with 12 points. Michael has an extremely strong work ethic both on and off the ice, and is getting more confident every game. The Toronto, ON native was recently added to the Wolves' leadership group as he was named an alternate captain by the coaching staff. The Sudbury Wolves would like to thank Michael for his hard work and commitment and look forward to him continuing his development with the Wolves.
QUIZNOS HARDEST WORKING DEFENCEMAN
The QUIZNOS HARDEST WORKING DEFENCEMAN OF THE MONTH is overaged defenceman, PATRICK MURPHY. MURPHY was acquired from the Erie Otters in the off-season and has fit in well with the Wolves. The Hamilton native has 16 points this season, placing him 3rd in team scoring. Murphy is always giving his maximum effort on the ice and as a veteran on this young Wolves team; he tries to lead by example. The Sudbury Wolves would like to thank Patrick for his hard work this season.
SKATER'S EDGE PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Defenceman KYLE CAPOBIANCO is the winner of the SKATER'S EDGE PLAYER OF THE MONTH for November. CAPOBIANCO is putting together another strong season with the Wolves. After recording 40 points a year ago, the 18-year-old Pickering native has 16 points to date this season. Last summer, Capobianco was drafted in the 3rd round by the Arizona Coyotes in NHL Draft in Florida. Kyle is consistently one of the Wolves best blueliners. He is also coming off an excellent showing at the 2015 CHL Canada Russia Series, where he notched an assist on the game-tying goal. The Wolves would like to congratulate Kyle on his tremendous play so far this season!
Presentations for the Player of the Month awards will begin prior to Friday's home game when the Wolves host the Barrie Colts at 7:00pm.
