After three games on the road last week, the Soo Greyhounds are set to play their FINAL three home games before the Christmas break.Entering Week 12 of Ontario Hockey League action the Hounds sit with a record of 9 wins, 13 losses and 3 overtime losses, good for 21 points.

That positions the Hounds in 4th place in the West Division (8th in the Western Conference), five points behind the Flint Firebirds and a single point ahead of the Saginaw Spirit.

(The Hounds have played one less game than the Spirit).

Whitby, ON product BOBBY MACINTYRE enter's the opening game of the home stand after scoring three times in the last two games of the Hounds trip.

The 19-year old forward now has 11 points (6g, 5a) in nineteen games for the Hounds this season.

With just 212 penalty minutes, the Hounds are the most disciplined team in the OHL.

Wednesday December 2vs Sudbury Wolves (5-18-3-0)

7:07 PM - Essar Centre presented by Bell

The Northern Ontario rivalry, and Bell Challenge Cup rekindles for the second time this season when the Hounds and Wolves face-off on Wednesday Night.

The two teams last met on October 28th when the Wolves narrowly escaped Sault Ste. Marie with a 4-3 victory over the Hounds (Zach Senyshyn, Gustav Bouramman and Jack Kopacka scored for the Hounds).

Since that October meeting the Wolves have dropped twelve straight contests (0-9-3-0).

The Nicke City Club is lead by rookie forward Dmitry Sokolov who has netted 9 goals and 9 assists in 26 games played.

Fans are reminded the Essar Centre and the Soo Greyhounds are excited to be hosting a canned food drive during this Wednesday's game. Fans can bring a non-perishable food or personal care item to the Greyhounds game, with all donations going to support the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen. Saturday December 5 vs Oshawa Generals (10-14-2-2)

On Saturday the Greyhounds host the defending OHL and Memorial Cup Champion Oshawa Generals for their only regular season visit to Sault Ste. Marie this season.

Generals captain Michael Dal Colle was among those players announced Monday to participate in the upcoming Canadian World Junior Championship selection camp later this month.

As for the two sides, last season's rivalry saw the two teams jostling for position atop the Ontario Hockey League all season long. With new faces on both clubs, it will be an entertaining night of the renewed rivalry.

Sunday December 6 vs North Bay Battalion (12-10-1-1)

2:07 PM - Essar Centre presented by Cash Money

The North Bay Battalion travel to Sault Ste Marie to close out the Hounds' home schedule before the Christmas break.

The two teams have met once earlier this season, with the Battalion winning the opening contest at the Essar Centre 3-1 back on October 10th.

With more healthy bodies back in the lineup this time around, the Hounds have high expectations heading into their second Northern showdown of the weekend.

Season Ticket Holder Christmas Party

Tuesday December 8- Essar Centre

On Tuesday December 8 the Greyhounds are excited to host our Season Ticket Holders at the Essar Centre from 6-8 PM for our annual Season Ticket Holder Christmas Party. This is a great opportunity for our most dedicated fans to get a behind the scenes look at operations and mingle with both players and staff.

Light food and beverage will be available at the event, but we highly recommend eating before arriving.

The evening includes:

- A skate with the Hounds

- Locker Room Tour

- Pictures with Santa Claus (must provide your own camera)

- Autograph opportunities with players

Each season ticket holder will have access to a small gift and exclusive holiday season offerings from our corporate partners. Greyhounds season ticket holders can pick up their gift either at the Greyhound's game on December 5/6 or at the Christmas party. Those who are unable to pick up their gift during those times can pick them up at the Essar Centre Box Office during business hours starting on December 9. Gifts are limited to one per seat on account.

Hound Pound Station Mall

Back for another holiday season, the Hound Pound Station Mall opened this past weekend.

The Hound Pound Station Mall, located in the Sears corridor, is the perfect place to find Greyhounds gift for your loved ones this holiday season!

Store hours are Monday to Saturday from 9:30AM-9PM and Sunday from 12PM-5PM.

Special hours include:

- Friday December 11 - 9:30AM-11PM

- Sunday December 20 - 11AM-5PM

- Thursday December 24 - 9:30AM-4PM

- Sunday December 27 - 9:30am-5:00PM (LAST DAY IN THE MALL)
