Brantford Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs (10-14-1-0) got two goals from Adam Laishram, including the overtime winner, to defeat the Owen Sound Attack (11-10-4-1) 2-1.

In a game that would be a tight, defensive battle from beginning to end, Hamilton managed to break through first. A harmless looking wrist shot on net from Bulldogs defenceman Jesse Saban was tipped in front by Laishram and squeaked through the legs of Attack starting goalie Michael McNiven. The 1-0 goal game came at 13:57.

The teams would keep their strong defensive play up throughout the rest of the first and into the second. Owen Sound would outshoot Hamilton 8-6 in the second but the Bulldogs would head into the third still ahead 1-0.

Owen Sound would quickly knot the game up in the third when Liam Dunda tipped home a Damir Sharipzyanov point shot that eluded 'Dogs goalie Charlie Graham and made the score 1-1. Jonah Gadjovich would also register an assist on Dunda's fourth goal of the year at 3:49.

The game would stay that way all the way until 4:31 of overtime when Laishram would get his second goal of the game. The Bulldogs forward would drag the puck out of the corner, beat the defender to the front of the net and put the puck past McNiven. Michael Cramarossa and Ben Gleason would get the assists on the game winning goal. Graham would make 27 saves for his seventh win of the year, while McNiven would make 18 saves in the loss.

Hamilton is back in action on Friday when they head to the Sleeman Centre to take on the Guelph Storm for a 7:30 p.m. start. The 'Dogs then return home to take on the division rival Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday, Dec. 6th. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
