HARTFORD, October 4, 2007: At Northland AEG's Hartford Wolf Pack luncheon today, the Wolf Pack launched their new Rbk EDGE jerseys. The attached photo shows Pack players Dane Byers (left) and Dave Liffiton (right) modeling the jersey.
The Rbk EDGE uniform features technologically advanced materials and fabrics that are more breathable, more resistant to water absorption and offer greater range of motion for today's hockey player. More than two years of extensive research, development and testing were performed by Reebok, with player feedback integral to the process.
All 29 teams in the American Hockey League, and all 30 clubs in the NHL, will use the Rbk EDGE uniform system, the only two leagues in the sport of hockey to do so. The EDGE system represents the culmination of more than two years of research and testing, and its highlights include:
Four lighter fabrics incorporated in the jersey, pants and socks to keep players drier while also adding increased durability to the uniform
The jerseys' stretch fabric in the collar features Rbk's innovative Playdry⢠moisture management technology to maximize comfort, breathability and temperature control
The stretch mesh in areas including the underarms and back provides additional range of motion and increased ventilation
4Way Stretch Pique features Rbk's latest innovation, Bead Away⢠water repellent technology, offering freedom of movement while retaining 76 percent less moisture than current AHL jerseys
X-trafil is incorporated into high-abrasion areas such as the shoulders and elbows to provide increased durability
Wolf Pack fans will get their first look at the new uniform system in action this Saturday night, October 6th, as the Pack open their 2007-08 season with a GEICO Connecticut Cup battle vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers that has been designated "Everyone's a Kid Night". ALL fans can purchase seats for opening night at the kids' price of $10 each. Faceoff is 7:00. Throughout the 2007-08 Wolf Pack season, kids are always $10. Any seat. Any game.
Wolf Pack single-game tickets are on sale at the Hartford Civic Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Filene's at the Buckland Hills Mall and at the Westfarms Mall.
