Aeros agree to terms with Tyler Hirsch

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) and RW Tyler Hirsch have come to terms for the 2007-08 season. Hirsch signed a contract with the team and has been assigned to the Aeros' ECHL affiliate, Texas Wildcatters.

Hirsch, 23 (1/8/84), played 15 games for the University of Minnesota last season tallying 22 points (4-18=22) and six penalty minutes (PIM). The 5-foot-9, 172 pound winger played a total of 123 games with the Golden Gophers marking 117 points (31-86=117) and 150 PIM. The Bloomington, Minn., native had a career high 44 points (11-33=44) in 2004-05 with 66 PIM. Hirsch was also a part of the Gophers 2003 national championship squad.

The Houston Aeros currently have a 24 man roster following Tuesday nights round of player movements after the intrasquad scrimmage.

The regular season begins this Saturday, October 6 at the Toyota Center against the Chicago Wolves.
