
AHL announces suspension
October 4, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced that Iowa Stars forward Richard Clune has been suspended for six (6) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL preseason game vs. the Quad City Flames on Oct. 1 in Urbandale, Iowa.
Clune received a game misconduct under AHL Rule 70.6 for leaving the players' bench for the purpose of starting an altercation.
Clune will miss Iowa's games on Saturday (Oct. 6) at San Antonio, Oct. 12 vs. Houston, Oct. 13 vs. Rockford, Oct. 16 and 17 at Lake Erie and Oct. 19 at Milwaukee.
