The Hartford Wolf Pack swept a two-game series in St. John's, Newfoundland this past weekend, beating the Maple Leafs 5-3 on Friday and 3-1 on Sunday. The Pack have won three straight overall, one game short of tying their season high for longest winning streak. A three-game week looms, starting a stretch in which the Wolf Pack plays four out of five and six out of eight at home. The Manitoba Moose visit Hartford tomorrow night (7:05 faceoff), the Pack welcome the Worcester IceCats to the Civic Center Friday on Family Night (7:05), and the Wolf Pack visit Providence for a clash with the arch-rival Bruins on Sunday (4:05).

The Bruins still sit atop the North Division with 30 points despite losing their last two games to Worcester, including an 11-0 blowout Friday evening in Worcester...Former Wolf Pack D Rich Brennan (2-17-19 in 25 GP) ranks third among AHL blueliners in scoring.

Pack Notes:

* The Wolf Pack have won four straight home games, outscoring their opposition 24-8 in the process. Since losing their home opener 3-2 to Manchester October 19, the Pack have gained at least a standings point in all seven of their home tilts (5-0-1-1).

* G Johan Holmqvist recorded the Wolf Pack's second shutout of the season last Wednesday vs. Worcester, stopping 30 IceCat shots in a 1-0 win. The Pack had only one whitewash all of last year. After a tie and a loss in his first two starts, Holmqvist has won three straight, allowing only four goals on 101 shots in the process (1.33 GAA, 96.0 save percentage.

* LW Dixon Ward is in the midst of a five-game point-scoring streak (2-6-8).

Wolf Pack in the Community:

The Wolf Pack will be making two appearances in the coming days to promote the Acoustic Café Volume II CD. Selected Wolf Pack players will be on hand at the Strawberries Music and Video location on Rt. 6 in Bristol today from 4-6 PM, and then at the Strawberries at Copaco Shopping Center in Bloomfield this Thursday, December 5th from 4-6 PM. Acoustic Café Volume II features the acoustically-recorded works of many of today's most popular musical artists, and proceeds from the sale of the CD's benefit the Wolf Pack Community Foundation. The CD is available at Strawberries and fye outlets throughout Connecticut, and costs only $9.65...The annual Wolf Pack Christmas Party at Connecticut Children's Medical Center will take place Tuesday, December 10 from 4-6 PM in the Garden Level Conference Rooms at CCMC.
