The 'Cats take on the Hartford Wolf Pack for the second time in 10 days on Friday night. The last meeting between these two teams resulted in a 1-0 win for Hartford on Wednesday, November 27th. The Wolf Pack currently reside in second place of the East Division with 27 points. Through 22 games, they have a record of 11-6-3-2. They are 5-1-1-1 at the Civic Center. Dixon Ward is pacing the club with 23 points. In 16 games, he has eight goals and 15 assists: 16(8/15/23). Goaltender Jason LaBarbera was recently recalled by the New York Rangers. LaBarbera appeared in 14 games, obtaining a record of 7-5-2.

The IceCats face a struggling Lowell team on Saturday night at the Centrum Centre. The Lock Monsters are 6-17-1 on the season, with two wins coming against Worcester. Lowell is currently on an eight game losing skid and are 1-9 in their last 10 games. Right Wing Jeff Heerema has 17 points in 17 games. Five of his nine goals have come on the power play. Lowell is 0-5-1 when trailing after two periods. They have been outshot 316 to 217 and outscored 66 to 40 in the middle frame.

Worcester takes on the Manitoba Moose for the fourth and final time of the 2002-2003 regular season on Sunday afternoon. The Winnipeg-based Moose are 10-10-3, second place in the Canadian Division. They have compiled a 3-7-1 record on the road and are 5-3-2 in their last ten games overall. Manitoba's Ryan Ready has scored seven power play goals, second in the AHL. The left winger is leading the club with 11 goals and 11 assists in 23 games: 23(11/11/22). The Moose are in Hartford on Wednesday, Bridgeport on Friday and Springfield on Saturday before wrapping up the weekend with Sunday's tilt with the IceCats.

* Scratch is slated to be at the Canal District CDC Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 6th. The Kelly Square lighting is schedule to begin at 5:30 PM.
'CAT TAILS:
* The IceCats established several new franchise records in their 11-0 win over the Providence Bruins on Saturday, November 30th. The 11 goals scored surpassed the previous mark of 10 most goals scored in a game, most goals scored in a win and largest margin of victory. The IceCats also scored six goals in the first period, breaking the old record of five, for most goals scored in a single period. The IceCats also welcomed their 2 Millionth regular season fan through the turnstiles. To cap the night off, the IceCats Teddy Bear Toss saw in excess of 1,500 stuffed animals collected.
* Worcester has three players in the top 10 for League scoring. Justin Papineau ranks third with 27 points, John Pohl is eighth with 25 points and Sergei Varlamov is ninth, also with 25 points. Papineau is pacing the AHL with 14 goals.
* Rookie center John Pohl is second among AHL leading rookie scorers. He has recorded 25 points in 22 games. He has nine goals and 16 assists: 22(9/16/25). Pohl's 16 assists are second among all first-year skaters.
* The IceCats Sergei Varlamov is first in the AHL with a 'plus 17' rating. IceCats defenseman Matt Walker is ranked third at 'plus 16'. His 'plus 16' is tops among defensemen.
* Justin Papineau has an eight-game points streak, recording eight goals and six assists, 14 points, in that span.
* Worcester is 6-2-2-2 in their last 10 games.
* Worcester ranks 4th overall on the power play. The team has clicked on 27 of 140 advantages or 19.3%.
* The IceCats scored four power play goals on four power play opportunities on Saturday, November 30th.
* The IceCats lead the AHL with 149 assists and 236 overall scoring points.
* The 'Cats recorded 30 scoring points on Saturday, November 30th in their 11-0 win over Providence.

NOTES: This past Wednesday night, the IceCats were defeated by the Hartford Wolf Pack 1-0 in Hartford. The loss snapped a five game unbeaten streak for the 'Cats. Defenseman Tom Koivisto made his IceCats Debut, recording three shots.

NOTES: Defenseman Tom Koivisto scored his first American Hockey League goal and Aris Brimanis bagged his 5th of the season as the Worcester IceCats tied Manchester 2-2 last night at Worcester's Centrum Centre. The tie extended the 'Cats home unbeaten streak to three games (1-0-2).

NOTES: The IceCats exploded for a franchise record six first-period goals en route to an 11-0 pounding of the Providence Bruins. Sergei Varlamov led the way with two goals and two assists and Blake Evans potted his third shorthanded goal, while Phil Osaer earned his first American Hockey League shutout and the IceCats' first of the season, stopping all 27 Providence shots. Eight different IceCats found the back of the net and nine IceCats players recorded multiple points.

NOTES: The IceCats defeated the Bruins for the second straight night. Justin Papineau potted the game-winner with just over nine minutes remaining in the third period. Igor Valeev recorded two assists and a 'plus 2' rating. The win moved Worcester into a tie with Manchester for second place in the North Division.
