Columbus Recalls Westcott

Syracuse, NY (December 3, 2002) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Duvie Westcott from Syracuse.

Westcott, 25, has appeared in 17 games with Syracuse this season, recording one goal, nine assists and 50 penalty minutes. Last season Westcott appeared in 68 games with Syracuse, recording four goals, 29 assists and 99 penalty minutes. He also played in four games with Columbus, recording two penalty minutes. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Westcott was signed as a free agent by Columbus on May 7, 2001.

The Crunch's Central Division rival, the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, travel to Syracuse on Wednesday, December 4 for a 7 p.m. match-up.
