The Tips seized a 1-0 lead by outshooting Spokane 14-7 in the opening period and Ronan Seeley buried his first goal of the year off the rush with 6:59 left, capitalizing on a drop pass by Michal Gut from the left circle.
The second period delivered a three-goal rush that helped the Tips blow open the game. Gut buried a power play goal just 1:13 into the period, set up between the circles by Gianni Fairbrother and Anderson followed with his first career goal, 7:55 into the period on a snipe that snuck through traffic from the blueline.
Spokane responded with desperation and generated a pair of effective shifts with quality shot traffic, but Wolf kept the Chiefs off the board with a big save on Connor Gabruch in the slot and then nullified Bear Hughes break to the net from the right circle.
Max Patterson set up Gianni Fairbrother from the bottom of the right circle for the Tips second power play goal of the night, with 5:04 left in the period.
