
Tigers Acquire Perna from Winterhawks

Medicine, Hat, AB -- The Medicine Hat Tigers announced today that they have acquired 2001 born defenceman Nick Perna from the Portland Winterhawks in exchange for a 4th round bantam pick in 2020.
"We would like to welcome Nick to the Tigers Organization and we look forward to working with him," said Willie Desjardins, Head Coach and General Manager.
The 6'3 Dallas, Texas product was signed as a free agent by the Winterhawks in 2018 and he began playing for them in the 2018-19 season. He has suited up for 47 games, scored one goal and picked up 11 assists in his time with Portland.

The Tigers will travel to Moose Jaw Friday to battle the Warriors before returning home Saturday to host the Blades for their Annual Medicine Hat News Teddy Bear Toss game. Tickets for the Teddy Bear Toss game can be purchased in person at the Canalta Centre Box Office or online.
