Dakota Wizards News Release
BISMARCK, N.D., Jan. 9, 2007 - Forward/center Rod Benson has been acquired by the Dakota Wizards of the NBA Development League. Benson takes the roster spot vacated when forward Justin Williams signed a 10-day contract with the Sacramento Kings on Jan. 5.

He played in 13 games for the Toros, averaging 10.0 minutes, 2.4 points and 1.5 rebounds before being waived on Jan. 3. He averaged 13.3 points and 6.3 rebounds during his junior year at Cal before being hampered by injuries as a senior.
Benson is expected to be in uniform for Dakota (11-3) on Friday when the Wizards are host to Tulsa (9-9).
