
Conroy Earns Second D-League Honor

TULSA, Okla., Jan. 9, 2007 - Will Conroy of the Tulsa 66ers is the D-League Performer of the Week for the second consecutive time. Conroy enjoyed a record-setting week while excelling as both a scorer and playmaker, posting three consecutive double-doubles with points and assists. The 66ers' point guard currently has posted double-doubles in five straight and seven out of his last eight games, including one triple-double.
His top performance last week came in Saturday's 119-115 win over Sioux Falls, where Conroy scored 22 points and dished out a D-League single game record 20 assists, becoming the first player in league history to top 20 points and assists in one game. Earlier in the week, he scored 15 points with 12 assists and five rebounds on Wednesday against Colorado, and scored 26 points with 14 assists on Friday night against Sioux Falls. His averages for the three games were 21.0 points, 15.3 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. Conroy shot 21-35 (.600), from the field, including 7-12 (.583) from three-point range.
A 6-2 guard in his second year out of Washington, Conroy leads the D-League with 9.9 assists per game and ranks 12th in scoring with 16.6 points. The 66ers are fourth in the Eastern Division with a 9-9 record.
