The Portland Winterhawks have signed forward Ilijah Colina, the team's eighth round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Colina currently plays for the Valley West Hawks of the British Columbia Major Midget League. He has 10 goals and 42 assists for 52 points in 34 games, which ranks him second on his team and fourth in league scoring. He is also first in league scoring for the 2000 age group.

"Ilijah has had a terrific season in the BCMML and emerged as one of the top players in the league," said Portland Winterhawks General Manager & Head Coach Jamie Kompon. "He had a strong training camp this year and our coaching staff came away really impressed with his ability to skate, see the ice and distribute the puck. We are excited that he has decided to sign with Portland and look forward to watching him develop as a Winterhawk."

Colina is in his 15-year-old season, making him eligible to join the Hawks full-time next season.

Group tickets include free Winterhawks hats starting at only $18 each while ticket plans begin at $90 each and include free Winterhawks scarves. Email seats@winterhawks.com or call 503-236-HAWK to buy seats today.
