April 3, 2018 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Portland Winterhawks News Release
The Portland Winterhawks and Spokane Chiefs will battle it out tonight at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Game 7 of their first-round WHL postseason matchup.
After the Winterhawks took a 3-1 series lead, Spokane has won back-to-back games to force a winner takes all Game 7 this evening. The Chiefs were victories last night in Game 6, taking down Portland 5-2 in Spokane.
In the series thus far, Vegas Golden Knights first-round draft pick, Cody Glass, leads all Winterhawks in scoring with eight points in six games. New York Islanders first-rounder, Kieffer Bellows, is right behind Glass, recording seven points in six games. Defenseman Dennis Cholowski, who is a first-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings, leads Portland in goals with four.
On the other side, Chiefs forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan, a second-round selection of the Los Angeles Kings, leads the way offensively among both teams, with nine points in six games.
