Winnipeg Goldeyes fans can now keep up with the team at home and on the road from their smartphones, thanks to the new Goldeyes Gameday app.
Fans can use the free app for iPhone and Android anytime, anywhere to stay up-to-date on everything Goldeyes.
"It's a great way for people to stay connected to the team and have an even better experience at Shaw Park," said Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier.
The user-friendly app gives fans easy access to team schedules, league standings, player statistics, ballpark maps and special discounts on merchandise and concessions at Shaw Park. The app lets fans directly buy tickets from their smartphones, and a large clock on the home screen counts down to the start of the next game, so they won't miss an opening pitch.
Fans can receive Goldeyes Gameday alerts and even take part through interactive features and game check-ins. They can access the Goldeyes Twitter account, take and upload photos and see the winning 50/50 ticket numbers - all without leaving the app.
"Connecting the fan's mobile device to in-game production introduces a whole new layer of entertainment possibilities for fan engagement. We are very excited to be working with the Goldeyes to advance this exciting new enhancement for attending fans of live sports," said Emotion Media, Inc. President Kemal Leslie.
The app is available for download in the App Store on Apple devices and Google Play store on Android devices.
Tickets for all Goldeyes home games are available through Ticketmaster by clicking on Ticketmaster.ca, calling 1-855-GOLDEYE or visiting any Ticketmaster location, including the Shaw Park box office.
