Wings' Wailes Named NLL's Rookie Of The Week
February 21, 2007 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release
Philadelphia Wings forward Kyle Wailes was named the NLL's Rookie of the Week for his five-point (3G, 2A) performance in his team's 12-8 loss to the Buffalo Bandits. All three of Wailes' goals were scored on the power play.
"Kyle was a bright spot in our game last Saturday night," said Wings Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson. "Our power play hasn't been were we want it to be, but Kyle's three man-up goals on Saturday night were a sign of improvement."
Wailes has 22 points (10G, 12A) through six games this season and is third overall in scoring for the Wings. Wailes was acquired by the Wings from the Calgary Roughnecks on December 18, 2006 in exchange for the Wings' first pick in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft.
The Wings host the Rochester Knighthawks in their next home game at the Wachovia
Center on Saturday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. Party Packs are just $66 and include four
lower level seats, four hot dogs and four sodas. Pro-rated season tickets start as
