NLL Announces All-Star Game Starting Lineups

February 21, 2007 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) News Release


The National Lacrosse League has announced the starting lineups for its 2007 All-Star Game, which will be played at Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, March 10th at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific. The East and West Division starting lineups were determined by the combined votes of the league's general managers, league media, and fans, who voted online at the league's official website, www.nll.com.

EAST DIVISION

Forwards

John Grant - Rochester Knighthawks

John Tavares - Buffalo Bandits

Defensemen

Thomas Hajek - Philadelphia Wings

Cam Woods - Chicago Shamrox

Transition Player

Geoff Snider - Philadelphia Wings

Goaltender

Matt Roik - Philadelphia Wings

WEST DIVISION

Forwards

Dan Carey - Colorado Mammoth

Dan Dawson - Arizona Sting

Defensemen

Andrew Turner - Edmonton Rush

Taylor Wray - Calgary Roughnecks

Transition Player

Brodie Merrill - Portland LumberJax

Goaltender

Rob Blasdell - Arizona Sting

The twelve reserves for the East and West teams will be announced shortly. Each All-Star team will have a total of eighteen players, and all thirteen NLL teams will have at least one player in the All-Star Game.

The East Division All-Stars will be coached by Buffalo Bandits head coach Darris Kilgour, he will be assisted by Rochester Knighthawks head coach Ed Comeau. The West Division All-Stars will be coached by Colorado Mammoth head coach Gary Gait. He will be assisted by Arizona Sting head coach Bob Hamley. The All-Star Game Coaches were determined by teams finishing order in the 2006 NLL Playoffs.
