Wings Stadium to host CSCHL playoffs

Kalamazoo, MI- The Wings Stadium Complex, which is also home to "The Annex" and "The Cube", announces that the complex will host the Central States Collegiate Hockey League Playoffs this weekend, Friday, February 17th- Sunday, February 19th.

Club teams from Western Michigan University, Robert Morris College, Ohio University, University of Illinois, Iowa State University, Eastern Michigan University, University of Michigan Dearborn and Kent State University will compete in a three-day tournament for the CSCHL Championship.

The tournament will begin this Friday, February 17th with four games; face-off for the first game will be at 10 a.m. Each team will play a second game on Saturday; the first game will face-off at 10 a.m.

The consolation and championship game will be played on Sunday. Face-off for the consolation game will begin at 11 a.m., with the championship game to follow.

Weekend passes for the tournament are available for $20, one-day passes are $10, students and senior citizen tickets are $5 and Western Michigan student admission is FREE with student identification.

Stadium Management Company owns both the Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube is the newer of the three facilities, that plays host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
