Wingnuts Add Outfielder Sing Chow

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts signed outfielder Waylen Sing Chow on Saturday.

Sing Chow hit .309 with 46 runs scored, 16 doubles, five triples, two home runs, 29 RBI, and 23 stolen bases in 59 games played for the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball's Maui Na Koa Ikaika. The Honolulu, HI native hit safely in 45 of 59 games played for Maui and posted a nine-game hitting streak (14 for 34, .412) from June 21st through June 30th. A left-handed hitter and fielder, Sing Chow hit above .300 against both left- and right-hander pitching this season.

The 23-year-old Sing Chow hit .266 with 45 runs scored, 28 RBI, and 15 stolen bases for Maui in 2012 when the club was a member of the North American League. Sing Chow played four seasons of college baseball at the University of Nevada, and batted .297 with 27 runs scored in 35 contests as a senior in 2011.

Sing Chow brings the Wingnuts' active roster to 21 players, one shy of the American Association maximum.
