Windy City Scores 46 Points in Fourth Quarter as Nets Drop Third Straight

LONG ISLAND - The Long Island Nets (1-3), the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, fell to the Windy City Bulls (3-1) 107-87 today at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Long Island controlled play throughout the opening quarter, with Nets two-way guard/forward Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot leading the way with nine points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field in six minutes of play. The Nets closed out the first leading the Bulls 29-13.

Windy City came out strong in the second quarter, outscoring the Nets 10-2 over the first 1:53 minutes of play. However, Long Island was able to regroup and take a 48-34 lead into the half.

The Nets and Bulls went back and forth throughout the third quarter, with both teams showcasing strong defensive play. Bulls forward PJ Dozier converted a clutch 4-point play after being fouled on a 3-point shot attempt near the end of the quarter as Windy City was able to pull closer, outscoring the Nets 27-23, going into the fourth down 71-61.

Windy City started the fourth quarter off on an 8-0 run to bring the game to within two points with 10 minutes remaining. The Bulls continued their fourth quarter dominance, leading 21-5 over the Nets and taking an 82-76 lead with seven minutes remaining. Windy City finished the quarter outscoring the Nets 46-16 to come from behind for the 107-87 victory.

Nets two-way forward Henry Ellenson led Long Island in scoring with 17 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the field and 2-of-6 shooting from 3-point range to go along with eight rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes of action. Long Island's other two-way player, guard/forward Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot, also had a good outing with 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field to go with four rebounds and four assists.

Brooklyn forward Rodions Kurucs, while on assignment with Long Island, finished the contest with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field to go along with four rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in 32 minutes of play.

Windy City forward PJ Dozier led all scorers in today's game with 31 points on 12-of-25 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 shooting from 3-point range to go along with 10 assists and eight rebounds in 40 minutes of play. Bulls forward Max Strus also contributed 17 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field and 2-of-5 shooting from deep to go with three rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes of action.

The Nets play their next game against the Canton Charge on Friday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. ET at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, while the Windy City Bulls will return home to face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. CT.
