Ontario Clippers News Release
SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota - The Agua Caliente Clippers (3-2) could not keep up with a hot shooting night from the Sioux Falls Skyforce (3-2) on Saturday night, falling 122-108.
The Skyforce pulled away early and lead from start to finish, by as much as 24, while shooting 55.8 percent from the field (48-for-86) and 53.8 percent from three point range (14-for-26). Agua Caliente made a late effort to get back into the game, opening the final frame on a 19-8 run to trim the Sioux Falls lead to single-digits. The Clippers would soon run out of gas, however, as the deficit proved too much to overcome.
Donte Grantham led the Clippers' efforts with 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field and grabbed 11 rebounds to complete the double-double. Guard Garrett Nevels added 22 points on nine-of-15 shooting from the field, knocking down four of his nine three point attempts.
Sioux Falls was led by Mychal Mulder's 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field and an efficient eight-of-nine from downtown. Mulder rounded out his stat line with seven rebounds and five assists.
The Clippers return home on Friday, Nov. 22, to host a rematch against the Skyforce. Tip off is at 7 p.m. PST inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA.
