
Windy City Outlasts Iowa, 7 Bulls Score in Double Figures

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, beat the Iowa Wolves 126-121 Saturday night at NOW Arena. Chicago Bulls Assignment forward Dalen Terry stuffed that statsheet in his Windy City debut, scoring 18 points, dishing out nine assists and grabbing eight rebounds.
Windy City was firing on all cylinders, with seven players scoring in double figures. The Bulls shot 53.3% from the field and led by as many as 14 points.
Windy City led 29-24 after the opening period, but a second-quarter surge from the Wolves gave Iowa a seven-point edge heading into halftime. The Bulls responded with a 41-point third quarter to take command of the game, holding off Iowa down the stretch to earn a five-point victory.
Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović had a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Chicago Bulls Two-Way guard Malcolm Hill put up 20 points. Guard Carlik Jones notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists.
The Bulls bench came up big with 43 points. Guard Chris Clemons went 4-for-6 from three-point territory, finishing with 18 points. Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Kostas Antetokounmpo chipped in 12 points on perfect 6-for-6 shooting from the field. Guard Javon Freeman-Liberty went 5-for-6 from the field, scoring 11 points.
In a close game with 10 lead changes and 13 ties, Windy City dominated the interior with 74 points in the paint compared to Iowa's 38. The Bulls secured 15 offensive rebounds, leading to 21 second-chance points.
Iowa was led by guard CJ Elleby with 25 points. Forward Wendell Moore Jr. and guard Matt Lewis had 18 points apiece.
With the victory, Windy City improved to 3-1 on the season, while Iowa fell to 2-1.
Next, the Bulls have a rematch with the Wolves Sunday at 2 p.m. at NOW Arena. Sunday's matchup will be broadcast on NBA TV -- Windy City's first home game on national TV.
