Windy City Bulls Fall to Iowa Wolves on Opening Night

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell to the Iowa Wolves 125-117 Friday night. Windy City was led by guard Max Heidegger with 21 points and eight assists off the bench.

Guard Jalen Harris shot 7-for-10 from the field including three three-pointers, scoring 17 points in the loss.

Chicago Bulls Two-Way forwards Adama Sanogo and Onuralp Bitim finished with 14 points each. Forward Derrick Favors also chipped in 14 points off the bench, shooting 7-for-11 from the field.

The Bulls got off to a strong start with a 60-49 lead going into halftime after Bitim and guard Quenton Jackson scored 11 points each. Windy City outscored Iowa 42-22 in the paint during the first half.

It was a back-and-forth battle throughout the game with 11 total lead changes. Windy City was outscored 42-30 in the fourth quarter with Iowa shooting 52.2 percent from the field compared to Windy City's 46.7 percent.

Iowa was led by Minnesota Timberwolves Two-Way center Luka Garza with 37 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. Assignment guard Wendell Moore Jr. had 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

With the loss, Windy City fell to 0-1 in the regular season, while Iowa improved to 1-0.

Windy City has a rematch with Iowa tomorrow, November 11. The game is slated to tip-off at 7:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted live on Tubi TV.
