Sacramento River Cats News Release

West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats ended their brief 4-game homestand on Monday night with a victory over the Tucson Sidewinders, 6-0, at Raley Field. Starting pitcher Jason Windsor (7.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K) earned the victory and Nick Blasi (pronounces BLAY-si), in his first ever Triple-A start, collected a double, triple and 3 RBI to pace the offense. Blasi broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom on the 2nd inning, when his 2-out triple scored Daric Barton and Jason Perry to give Sacramento a lead they would not relinquish. His RBI double in the 4th was part of a 4-run inning that allowed the Cats to pull away. Windsor, who earned his third victory of the year, went seven strong innings before giving way to Connor Robertson, who threw 2.0 perfect innings of relief. Robertson and Windsor combined to face the minimum number of batters over the game's final 7.0 innings and allowed just one base-runner in that span.
