PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - The St. Lucie Mets scored the final three runs of their come-from-behind, 3-2, victory against the Daytona Tortugas Tuesday night at First Data Field. Daytona got on the board first with Gavin LaValley's 12th homer of the season, a solo shot to left center field in the fourth inning. The Tortugas would double their lead with a Nick Senzel RBI single to right field in the sixth inning. The Mets would chip away in the home half, when RHP Brian Hunter walked the leadoff man Arnaldo Berrios. John Mora singled two batters later to put men on the corners and chase Hunter from the game. LHP Juan Martinez entered and immediately balked home a run, allowing the Mets to get on the board. Two batters later, Jhoan Urena laced an RBI double to center to tie up the game. The Mets took their first lead of the night in the eighth inning against RHP Jake Paulson. With one out, JC Rodriguez doubled for his first hit against Daytona this year. A batter later, Urena smacked his second hit of the night to right field to drive home the winning run. The Tortugas went in order in the ninth inning against RHP Justin Dunn. Dunn (3-3) earned the win in relief, allowing one baserunner in his three innings. Paulson (2-3) suffered the loss, allowing the go-ahead run in his 1 2/3 innings. RHP Mark Armstrong got the start for Daytona and allowed just two hits in his four shutout innings, making his first appearance since July 5, 2015. The Tortugas continue the series Wednesday in St. Lucie. RHP Wendolyn Bautista (1-0, 2.38) gets the ball for Daytona against RHP Nabil Crismatt (3-4, 3.12). First pitch is set for 6:30 PM with the Metcare Pregame Show beginning at 6:20 PM on AM 1230 and AM 1490 WSBB. Notes: LaValley has five home runs and 16 RBIs in his last 13 games. He has homered in back-to-back games for the second time this season and the third time in his career...Nick Senzel (2-for-4) and Alfredo Rodriguez (3-for-4) each added their 15th multi-hit game, tied for the third most on the team. Rodriguez has three in his last four games, going 8-for-15...Daytona is 0-5 at First Data Stadium since July, 2015. They have been outscored 29-6 in the five games
