
Willmar Cannot Overcome Early Deficit and Falls to Larks

Willmar, Minn. - On Thursday the Stingers took on the Bismarck Larks in game one of a two game series at Bill Taunton Stadium.
The Larks offense was on fire putting up four runs in the first inning, six in the second and three in the third. The Larks ultimately put up 14 runs in the first five innings.
The Stingers did have success from Nic Hernandez (Cal Poly Pomona). Hernandez in the game was superb. He went 4-4 and drove in four RBIs of his own. Hernandez boosted his average all the way up to .346 on the season and continued to hit Larks' pitching very well.
Willmar dropped the game by a final score of 17-8 and will take on the Larks once again tomorrow night at 7:05.
