Loves Park, Il. - The Green Bay Bullfrogs (25-29) beat the Rockford Rivets (27-36) at Rivets Stadium on Friday night 9-5.

Rockford led 5-3 at the end of six innings but, due to a series of hits and a couple of errors committed by the Rivets, the Bullfrogs would score five runs in the seventh inning and take a 8-3 lead. Rockford struggled on the defensive side of the ball all night, and by the end of the game they would commit six errors total.

Rivets catcher Brendan Krob made his first start in a Rockford uniform on Friday night and reached base three times in five at bats, which included two hits, a walk and an RBI. Shortstop Tim Lilly also finished the game with two hits and third baseman Parker Kelly managed to score two runs from the leadoff spot.

Jimmy Burnette started the game on the mound for Rockford and went 5.0 innings while allowing one earned run and striking out six. He has allowed just three hits and one run in his last two starts.

Rockford will now travel to Battle Creek on Saturday to take on the Bombers at 6:35 pm.
