GARY, Ind. - T-Bones catcher Bubby Williams belted two homers and drove in five runs to lead Kansas City to a 7-2 win over the RailCats on Thursday night at U. S. Steel Yard. The 'Cats dropped three of four in the series and their record sits at 16-23.

After the game was delayed an hour and 23 minutes by rain in the first, the RailCats took the lead second inning when Mike Rohde doubled and came around to score on Chris Carrara's RBI single.

Then the Bubby Williams show started. After a Devin Goodwin walk, Williams took a Morgan Coombs offering deep to left-center field field to put the T-Bones up 2-1. They would add a run in the fifth on a Jose Duran sacrifice fly that made the score 3-1.

That lead was cut to 3-2 by the RailCats in the bottom half of the inning. Carrara reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to second base with an Adam Klein walk. Mike Massaro's broken bat single to center field then scored Carrara.

In the sixth, the T-Bones added three more off the bat of Williams. With two on and one out, Williams took RailCats reliever Chuck Lukanen deep for a three-run home run in nearly the same spot as his homer in the fifth inning. The T-Bones tacked on a run in the ninth on Ray Sadler's RBI single.

RailCats stater Morgan Coombs (2-4) took the loss, allowing three runs in five innings. Shaun Garceau (4-0) had a strong outing for Kansas City, going six innings and allowing two runs on five hits.

The RailCats now head to Sioux Falls to start a four-game series on Friday night at 7:05. Kyle Wilson (1-2) will be the starter for Gary.
