
RedHawks Add Davis to Bullpen

FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed LHP Tony Davis to a contract. Davis will be in uniform tonight as the RedHawks open a three-game series against the St. Paul Saints at Newman Outdoor Field at 7:02 p.m.
Davis, 24, has spent the past three years in the Minnesota Twins system and pitched at Ft. Myers of the Florida State League this spring before a finger injury sidelined him. In 2011, Davis was 2-2 with a 2.57 ERA in 17 games for the New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League (AA). He pitched 28.0 innings and allowed nine runs (eight earned) on 23 hits while striking out 24 batters.
In his career, Davis is 7-7 with a 3.79 ERA and eight saves in 87 games. He has pitched 140.0 innings and allowed 70 runs (59 earned) on 135 hits. Davis has struck out 121 batters.
Davis was originally selected by the Twins in the 12th round of the 2009 draft out of the University of Florida.
