
Wildcats Acquire Quarterback Julian Reese in Four-Man Trade

ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats have announced today that they have traded quarterback Brian Baker, fullback/linebacker Jason Null and offensive/defensive lineman Tracy Flounoy for quarterback Julian Reese.
Reese, (6-1, 220 pounds, Indiana State), played in four games with the Everett Hawks (Everett, Washington) this season. Reese was 85-of-140 for 933-yards with 13 touchdowns and six interceptions. He is averaging 233.2 passing yards per game and has a quarterback rating of 85.50. He has rushed for 46-yards on 19 attempts and has 10 rushing touchdowns.
In 2005, Reese was named the National Conference All-af2 First Team quarterback. In 16 games with the Amarillo Dusters, Reese completed 279-of-445 passes for 3,525-yards with 65 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He rushed for 223-yards on 86 attempts and tied an af2 record for most rushing touchdowns in a season with 28.
Quarterback Brian Baker, who lost his starting spot to Dondrial Pinkins, finished with 25 completions for 228-yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. FB/LB Jason Null rushed for three yards and one score in three games with the Wildcats and OL/DL Tracy Flounoy totaled two tackles in one game.
The Wildcats will travel to Macon, Ga this weekend to face their in-state rival the Knights. The Wildcats are looking to snap their seven game losing streak dating back to last season.
