Wildcats have 2 players named to All-af2 team

August 5, 2009, ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats 2009 season may have come to an end last Saturday night but the recognition for an amazing season as just begun as Center Rico Ochoa was named to the af2's American Conference 1st Team and Wide Receiver Alvance Robinson was named to the af2's American Conference 2nd Team.
It is the third consecutive season, Ochoa has been honored as one of league's best centers. He was the anchor of a line for the Wildcats that when healthy is one of the best in the league.
Robinson finds himself honored for the second consecutive year based on the strength of his 107 receptions, 1582 yards, and 31 touchdowns all of which led the Wildcats this season.
"It definitely was a great season that was highlighted by many significant moments and the outstanding individual efforts of many on our team," said Head Coach Rodney Blackshear. "I congratulate Alvance and Rico on their fine season and for being honored as one of the league's best."
