Bakersfield Blitz News Release

BAKERSFIELD - The Bakersfield Blitz add new kicker, Adam Holiday (6-4, 245) to replace Rich Ehmke for the 2006 af2 season.

"With his size comes incredible strength behind the ball," Head coach Gary Compton said. "We needed a kicker who can deliver big kick offs, and we think we have found our man."

Adam Holiday is entering his first year in arena football. His solid collegiate career makes him a good choice as the team kicker. Holiday kicked for Washington State University and helped lead the team to the Rose Bowl in 2003. After kicking for Washington State, Holiday was in camp with the NFL Seattle Seahawks in 2003. In 1999, he was a recipient of the All American Army Scholar Athlete Award.

Holiday and the rest of the Blitz team will be battling the Spokane Shock on Saturday, May 6, at Spokane. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Spokane Arena.

Season tickets for the Blitz 2006 season are still on sale, as well as single game tickets. Ticket plans start at the prorated price of $70 and single game tickets are as low as $10 in the lower bowl. Tickets will be available at the Rabobank Arena box office and any Ticketmaster location.
