Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY-Part I of the "Turnpike Rivalry" begins on Saturday, May 6, when the Tulsa Talons travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Yard Dawgz in the first of three meetings this season.
The Yard Dawgz are coming off of their first lost of the season; losing last week to Amarillo 56-58. Oklahoma City is still experiencing the best start in franchise history.
Tulsa has momentum on its side. After dropping their season opener to Rio Grande Valley, the Talons are on a 3-game winning streak.
More than bragging rights are on the line for this game. Yard Dawgz quarterback, Craig Strickland can pass his way into af2 history with 227 yards; making him the first af2 quarterback to reach 20,000 career passing yards. Strickland is on track to break af2 records in most passing yards in a season and most passing touchdowns.
The battle begins at 7:05 PM at the Ford Center.
