OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz are proud to announce that Heritage Hall junior running back, Barry Sanders Jr. (5'11 185), has been awarded the Yard Dawgz High School Athlete of the Week. Sanders Jr. is the fifth athlete the Yard Dawgz have recognized this fall.
Under the direction of Head Coach Andy Bogert, Sanders Jr. helped to secure a Charger 45-6 victory over the Tulsa NOAH Jaguars. Sanders Jr., finished the night with 313 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns. The Chargers are currently 5-0 and will host the Newcastle Racers (4-1) this Friday night.
Each week this fall the Yard Dawgz will choose a standout high school football player to be awarded Athlete of the Week. This award will be chosen based on the student's leadership and performance both on and off the playing field.

Week 4 - Jerame Littell, Stillwater High School - 464 yards passing and 5 touchdowns
Week 5 - Barry Sanders Jr., Heritage Hall - 313 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns
